I wish I could've seen the incident between Mr. Ewell and Atticus. If I were Atticus i would've beat Mr. Ewell up! He doesn't have the right to spit in my face. So, I just would've beat him up for that. Mr. Ewell was dumb for doing that. He shouldn't have spit in Atticus' face. That's really nasty. Then he called him a nigger lover! I really would've hurt him then.
Atticus says the only reason why Mr. Ewell is angry is because of all this stuff going on with the trial. But that's no reason to spit in someone else's face. Atticus says that Mr. Ewell threatened him and said that he was going to ''get'' him. I think he is really trying to get Atticus. When he says that, I think he means that he is going to try and kill him and I don't want that to happen. Atticus' reaction to Mr. Ewell was priceless. He just stood there and excepted the fact that Mr. Ewell just spit in his face.
